ProctorGeo HC20 EnkaVent® Spacer Mat

Details

ProctorGeo HC20 EnkaVent Drainage Spacer Mat is a 20mm thickness, three dimensional shaped mesh of polyamide monofilaments, tangled and fused together.

Looking for ProctorGeo HC9 spacer mat colloquially known as the “hairy chest”? Recognising the familiarity and positive experiences installers have had with EnkaVent globally, DCTech are now supplying ProctorGeo HC8 EnkaVent as an alternative to ProctorGeo HC9. You can read more about the product update here.

Applications

Moisture can potentially build up under metal roof sheeting and cause structural damage and corrosion of the roof sheet and fixings. ProctorGeo HC20 EnkaVent is used to provide permanent drainage and an air movement pathway between the roof sheeting and roofing underlay to assist in removing moisture. ProctorGeo HC20 EnkaVent also offers significant sound reduction from rain impact noise. When used in conjunction with Proctor underlays and tapes, the HC20 EnkaVent offers a condensation management solution for commercial and residential metal roofing.

HC20 EnkaVent can be used to meet the NCC 2022 deemed to satisfy requirement [Vol 1 (F8D5) 1(b) & Vol 2 (10.8.3)] to maintain a ‘roof space’ that has a height of not less than 20 mm. The ProctorVent VB20 vented batten may be needed to address compression of the ProctorGeo HC20 at the purlins/ roof battens.

Installation

ProctorGeo HC20 EnkaVent should be installed in accordance with the product installation guide.
